Chadwick Boseman was a phenomenal man, and not just for the characters he played. He was a man of faith. He was someone who pursued the interests in his life in a way that reflected who he was. When a teammate on his college basketball team was murdered, Boseman turned to writing. He wrote his first screenplay, Crossroads, because he, “had a feeling that this was something that was calling to me… Suddenly, playing basketball wasn’t as important.”
Boseman graduated from Howards University, or “The Mecca.” He was there at the same time as author Ta-Neshisi Coates, who would end being a writer for the Black Panther comics. It is a small world after all…or maybe, the things that we are meant to do are put in our path throughout our lives and we have to be brave enough to take the right roads.
